About Us
We Know Feet — And How Much They Matter
It's not just footwear. It's the way you stand at the kitchen counter in the morning. It's the last mile of a trail when your knees start talking. It's whether your kids can run barefoot-fast without their shoes fighting them.
That's why we've dedicated ourselves to building footwear that gets out of the way. Wide, foot-shaped toe boxes. A non-elevated heel. Soles flexible enough to bend with your foot instead of against it. Nothing more, and nothing less, than what your feet were designed to do.
Our Story
Where It Started
Our journey began with a simple observation: for most of human history, feet worked perfectly well without thick, stiff, elevated shoes. Somewhere along the way, footwear started doing the foot's job for it — supporting, cushioning, controlling — and the foot quietly got weaker, more crowded, and less informed about the ground beneath it.
So we started experimenting with the opposite approach. Strip away the heel lift. Widen the toe box. Make the sole thin enough to feel the world but tough enough to protect you from it.
Where It Went
What began as a homemade experiment turned into a full range of natural-movement footwear: everyday shoes, running shoes, training and court shoes, hiking shoes, water-ready sandals, and all-season boots — for men, women, and kids.
Today, more than a million people worldwide have made the switch, and tens of thousands have taken the time to leave five-star reviews describing the same experience in different words: it felt different immediately, and it felt right.
What Hasn't Changed
The design philosophy. Every style, from the lightest sandal to the most protective boot, is built on the same three principles:
- Natural Fit — room for your toes to spread, and a level platform from heel to forefoot
- Natural Feel — a low-to-the-ground design that keeps you balanced, agile, and informed
- Natural Motion — soles that flex and bend so your foot moves the way nature intended
What We Believe
Our Core Beliefs
- Your foot is already well designed. Our job is to protect it, not to correct it.
- Less shoe is often more shoe. Extra structure should be justified, not assumed.
- Durability is a sustainability strategy. The greenest shoe is the one you don't replace.
- Comfort is information. If your feet feel better, you're probably moving better.
- Honest pricing matters. Great footwear shouldn't require a second mortgage.
Our Commitment to You
We believe everyone deserves access to well-made, natural-movement footwear at a fair price. That's why we pair transparent materials and construction with free worldwide shipping, covered duties, and a generous return window.

Our Materials & Construction
We select each component for a specific job, and we're happy to explain why.
Outsoles
- Proprietary rubber compound: Engineered to balance ground feedback with real protection, and flexible enough to let your foot move naturally
- Multi-directional tread patterns: Tuned by activity — trail lugs for loose terrain, court-ready patterns for lateral grip, smooth profiles for everyday wear
Midsoles & Footbeds
- Low-profile or removable footbeds: Let you choose between a touch more cushioning and maximum ground feel
- Non-elevated platform: Heel and forefoot sit at the same height to support natural posture
Uppers
- Engineered mesh: Lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying for running and warm-weather wear
- Canvas and knit: Soft, flexible, and easy to live in day after day
- Responsibly sourced leather and suede: For boots and lifestyle styles that need to look at home in the city as well as on the trail
Hardware & Details
- Adjustable strap systems: On sandals, for a truly custom fit across the instep and heel
- Reinforced stitching and bonding: At the high-stress points that decide how long a shoe lasts
- Minimal, low-irritation interiors: Fewer seams where your foot actually touches the shoe
Built to Last, Use Less, Source Better
We're committed to ensuring the materials we use are safe and sourced ethically, and to building products that stay out of landfills. In practice that means three things: make it durable, use fewer materials, and choose better ones.
